Family Guy meets Special Needs Advocate

Being the mother of two mildly special needs children, I admire Sarah Palin for stating during the Republican Convention that families with special needs children have a friend and advocate in her.  Of course many people now criticize her for keeping her promise on that.  So, they consistently harp and harass her whenever they can.  Family Guy’s recent episode where Chris falls in love with girl who has Down Syndrome could have been a heart felt, positive episode on how special needs people are just the same as us.  The jokes could have been about the people who discriminate against special needs people.  Instead, the creators of the show chose to poke fun at one of the few friends and advocates my children and I have.

She wrote on her hand!

Can you believe that?  What a ditz.  What a moron.  She can’t even speak to an audience without crib notes on her hand!

It’s hard to believe that Diane Feinstein would do that, isn’t it?  I mean, she is so poised, so smart and intelligent, yet she writes on the palm of her hand during a debate she had while running for Governor of California.  So, what’s the big deal?  Well, the media, including the White House Press Secretary, is making fun of Palin for doing what Feinstein was already caught doing.  Wasn’t the politics in Washington supposed to be BI partisan  under Obama?

I love McCain’s response to the “news”:White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs

"I guess it’s OK to use a teleprompter but not OK to write something on your hand,"

Something tell me that Palin would be able to talk to grade school kids without a teleprompter, but we ain’t supposed to talk about that.  Oh, well.  The liberal media attacking Palin or any female politician is nothing knew, so we can just ignore it.  What gets me is what W.H. Press Secretary Robert Gibbs did:

The Problem with Liberalism part II

I have never been a liberal.  Even when I claimed to be a democrat I would never have described myself as liberal.  Because of this it is hard for me to put into words why I think liberalism is wrong and why I think liberal feminism is the worst thing that has been inflicted on women.

No_More_Hate So here comes Robin from Berckley again.  As stated before she is a recent conservative convert living in Berkeley and is a psychotherapist.  She has a lot of insight into the error of liberal thinking, because she used to be a hard core believer in that way of life.

In an article on the American Thinker website she explains what the final straw was that made her rethink her liberalism.  First she discusses that when in college she read a book that decribed how rape is not a form of lust but a form of power and the different ways in which rape is used to force submission.  How it can be used in war and how it can degrade and terrorize an entire population.  This book only emphasized the vulnerability she felt and she asked how she could protect herself:

“A bunch of gay Hillary guys in Boystown, Chicago”

I am really liking these guys.  I don’t think we agree on many things in politics (or maybe we would agree on more than we think) but I think we would agree on the right way to treat people and how to politely disagree without causing a scene.  I’ve been reading their blog off and on ever since the Bush post they did and I have never been disappointed or ticked off.  So first – I’d recommend anyone to go over and068 read some of their blog (as long as you promise to come back here and not leave us!)

Actually they kind of remind me of us.  They talk from their heart, just as MK, PIP, Stu, John and I talk from our hearts.  They aren’t afraid to stand up for what they think is right no matter how they are “supposed” to think……etc…..

After reading one of their posts I have to say that it could be love!  Standing up for what is right is sometimes difficult to do and it is even more difficult when you have to stand against “your side” politically.  But these guys aren’t afraid.  I would love for them to be ‘the protectors’ for my kids just as they are protecting another person’s son:

Sarah Palin has got them ticked again

This is just so amazing.  I just can’t believe how upset the left is that she is back in the spotlight.  So, she disagrees with them – so do millions of other women.  What is it with Palin that makes them so hysterical?

From ABC’s Jake Tapper:

“Right now, Sarah Palin is on a highly publicized, nationwide book tour, attacking President Obama and his plan for health reform at every turn,” writes (Organizing wonder-woman-2 for America) director Mitch Stewart  in an email first reported by Christina Bellantoni at Talking Points Memo. “It’s dangerous. Remember, this is the person who coined the term ‘Death Panels’ — and opened the flood gates for months of false attacks by special interests and partisan extremists.”

Stewart quotes Palin saying she hopes health reform will be “dead on arrival” and appearing on Rush Limbaugh’s radio show where she “outrageously — and falsely — suggested that Americans could ‘face jail time as punishment’ if they don’t buy insurance.” (The truth is, at least in the House bill, Americans could face jail time as a punishment if they don’t pay the fine for failing to buy insurance, if they can afford to do so.)

Newsweek wants the Palin Problem to go away

She’s Baaaaack!

Sarah Palin has wrote a book, therefore she is evil and is going to destroy the GOP. Newsweek_Palin Well, at least that is what Newsweek wants you to believe.  The media was mad when she resigned from Governor of Alaska and didn’t answer their questions.  Now she has answered their questions by writing a book, effectively taking money away from the media because they can’t get the ‘exclusive’, they are ticked off again.

Moderate Republicans—yes, they are not yet extinct, though most are in hiding—scoff at Sarah Palin and wish she would go away.

I love it!  “Moderate” Republicans!  Really?  I think he meant to say the Pro-Choice Republicans wish she would go away.  However, saying Pro-Choice around Palin is a liberal media taboo now a days.  That just brings up the fact that Palin had the audacity to bring a defective child into this world when she should have ripped the child apart in her womb.   Woopsies!  That’s not something they want the moderate (translation – pro-life) democrats to be thinking about.  So, the word game comes into play again and now moderate Republicans are against her – good thing Newsweek told us, we would never have known it among the moderate Republican groups.

Why it was important to stand up

Even on this blog, not many people stood up for Sarah Palin when her family was being personally attacked.  Many laughed when there were multiple ethic complaints filed against her.  However, we are now seeing the consequences of thinking it was funny.

(H)er decision was primarily prompted by her concern over $2 million a year the state has spent on records requests and the ethics AP_Sarah Palin inquiries……

She cited ethics complaints filed against her and attacks on her children as distractions that have made it hard for her to operate.

In a statement posted Saturday on Facebook, Gov. Palin criticized the coverage. "Every American understands what it takes to make a decision because it’s right for all, including your family," she wrote.

In the past, Ms. Palin has complained bitterly of attacks on her and her family by Democrats and their supporters……

The attacks by bloggers and activists seemed to particularly rankle the governor, who in her announcement accused them of offering up "silly accusations" and even mocking her infant son, Trig, who has Down syndrome.….

(Before being nominated as V.P. running mate) She worked closely with Democratic legislators, once bringing cupcakes to celebrate the 60th birthday of one of them.

Palin Resigns

Michelle Malkin posts the latest information on Governor Sarah Palin:

From KTUU TV in Alaska:

Gov. Sarah Palin will resign her office in a few weeks, she said during a news conference at her Wasilla home Friday morning.Sarah_Palin_Kuwait_Crop2

Lt. Gov. Sean Parnell will be inaugurated at the Governor’s Picnic at the end of the month, Palin said.

There was no immediate word as to why she will resign, though speculation has been rampant that the former vice presidential candidate is gearing up for a run at the 2012 Republican presidential nomination.

Palin made the announcement flanked by Parnell and most, if not all, of her cabinet.

Some are speculating she may consider running for president in the 2012 elections!

I’m sure many of you will roll your eyes in disgust.  However I say “You go girrrllll!!”

Letterman proves his lack of maturity

Letterman’s top ten lists can be funny at times, but for the most part they remind me more of schoolboy bully’s in the playground calling kids names.  Well, Letterman surely went to a new low.

Here is his 10 ten Highlights of Gov. Palin’s trip to NY:

10. Visited New York landmarks she normally only sees from Alaska

9. Laughed at all the crazy-looking foreigners entering the U.N.

8. Made moose jerky on Rachael Ray

7. Keyed Tina Fey’s car palin-letterman

6. After a wink and a nod, ended up with a kilo of crack

5. Made coat out of New York City rat pelts

4. Sat in for Kelly Ripa. Regis couldn’t tell the difference.

3. Finally met one of those Jewish people Mel Gibson’s always talking about

2. Bought makeup from Bloomingdale’s to update her "slutty flight attendant" look

1. Especially enjoyed not appearing on "Letterman"

Here is Palin’s response:

Sarah Palin called David Letterman “pathetic” Tuesday after the CBS “Late Show” host said the Alaska Republican governor sports a “slutty flight attendant look.”
