Newsweek wants the Palin Problem to go away
Sarah Palin has wrote a book, therefore she is evil and is going to destroy the GOP.
Well, at least that is what Newsweek wants you to believe. The media was mad when she resigned from Governor of Alaska and didn’t answer their questions. Now she has answered their questions by writing a book, effectively taking money away from the media because they can’t get the ‘exclusive’, they are ticked off again.
Moderate Republicans—yes, they are not yet extinct, though most are in hiding—scoff at Sarah Palin and wish she would go away.
I love it! “Moderate” Republicans! Really? I think he meant to say the Pro-Choice Republicans wish she would go away. However, saying Pro-Choice around Palin is a liberal media taboo now a days. That just brings up the fact that Palin had the audacity to bring a defective child into this world when she should have ripped the child apart in her womb. Woopsies! That’s not something they want the moderate (translation – pro-life) democrats to be thinking about. So, the word game comes into play again and now moderate Republicans are against her – good thing Newsweek told us, we would never have known it among the moderate Republican groups.
Bully’s in the White House
I can’t help but to laugh at all the people who are “surprised” at how the White House is trying to intimidate the news organizations into reporting only positive stories on what they are doing. Seriously! They are surprised. It’s not like we, conservatives, didn’t forewarn everyone that this would happen. You can go here and here to see just two of the articles I wrote on the subject before the elections.
Well, the New York Times, along with most of the other liberal news organizations, are finally waking up:
Mr. Ailes, (chairman and chief executive at FNC) who had reached out to Mr. Axelrod (Sr. White House adviser) to address rising tensions between the network and the White House, told him that Fox’s reporters were fair, if tough, and should be considered separate from the Fox commentators who were skewering President Obama nightly, according to people briefed on the meeting. Mr. Axelrod said it was the view of the White House that Fox News had blurred the line between news and anti-Obama advocacy.
What both men took to be the start of a frank but productive dialogue proved, in retrospect, more akin to the round of pre-Pearl Harbor peace talks between the United States and Japan.
Another lie is not hope and change
There was a young man from Chicago
Whose politics were a lot like the lotto
He pushes the bills through
Which helps just a few
and “I didn’t read it” is his Motto
Let me give you two recent quotes from President Obama:
“If you have health insurance, and you like it, and you have a doctor that you like, then you can keep it. Period.’"
Yet, here is his response to the question – "Will people be able to keep their insurance and will insurers be able to write new policies even though H.R. 3200 is passed?"
"You know, I have to say that I am not familiar with the provision you are talking about."
And guess what? He said both of these statements during a conference call he had with left leaning bloggers! The same interview on the same day.
This is all because of a new bill, H.R. 3200, "America’s Affordable Health Care Choices Act of 2009," is being pushed through Congress. It has 1,018 pages to it. Obama doesn’t want it read, because if Congress does that they may notice that money goes where it isn’t supposed to go A La the AIG bonuses. He needs this bill passed before Congress goes back to their home states during the break. This is because less than 50% of Americans now approve of this bill and our representatives will be getting an ear full about this.
Do the Polls still speak the truth?
With everything there is a politician and behind that politician there is a poll taker. When Bush’s approval poll numbers were down, he heard how accurate they were. When Obama’s poll numbers were up, we heard how accurate they are. I wonder if the ObamaMedia will begin to change their tune to the accuracy of the polls now that they are taking a turn against their beloved Obama.
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Wednesday shows that 32% of the nation’s voters now Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Thirty-seven percent (37%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of –5.
In the wake of last week’s disappointing report on job loss…….shows investor confidence falling to the lowest level in three months. The number of investors who say the economy is getting worse jumped from 43% before the jobs report to 51% today.
Ohio, one of the battleground states, is even having some low poll numbers now:
Honeymoon is over for Helen Thomas
Liberal or conservative, you have to admire Helen Thomas. In the “man’s world” of the 1940’s and 1950’s she was a strong voice for female reporters. She has been around Washington DC for a very long time – she started with JFK. “She was the first female officer of the National Press Club, the first female member and president of the White House Correspondents Association, and, in 1975, the first female member of the Gridiron Club.” (Wikipedia)
She made it no secret that she despised Bush and supported Obama. She was even criticized for asking Obama easy questions during his first 100 days. Well, the honeymoon is over now.
From the Political Grapevine:
Veteran White House correspondent Helen Thomas has lashed out at what she sees as an unprecedented effort by the Obama administration to control the media.
Thomas tells Cybercast News: "Nixon didn’t try to do that… What the hell do they think we are, puppets?" Thomas points to the arrangement between the White House and The Huffington Post’s Nico Pitney, who was allegedly invited to last week’s presidential news conference with the understanding he would ask a question from an Iranian blogger.
Partisan…er…President Obama on TV
I first told you about the ABC Obama Infomercial here. Here is the RNC ad in response to the extremely partisan way Obama is selling his health care reform.
ABC attempts to state it will be Bipartisan because Obama will be getting questions from both sides of the debate. However, we will only be getting the leftist answer with no rebuttal. Exactly how is this partisan?
Another Obama promise broke…………..again…..
Here is the ABC lineup for today:
ABC News to broadcast a series of programs from the White House on Wednesday. ABC is scheduled to broadcast "Good Morning America" from the White House lawn, "World News" its nightly news show from the Blue Room and a special prime time "Questions for the President: Prescription for America" on President Obama’s health care reform proposal from the East Room.
The president gets pretty much the entire day on ABC (All Barack Channel) TV. Exactly how much work can he be getting done when he is in front of the camera’s all the time?
Welcome to the beginning of the ‘One State of Amerika’.
MSNBC is still drooling
This is getting ridiculous. When will MSNBC just admit that they are more like a reality show than a news organization.
Let’s talk about Obama’s speech. I went to Democratic Political Consultant, Peter Daou, to see what he thought of Obama’s speech in Cairo and here are his two points on what went wrong in the speech:
1. Aside from a few platitudes, it is disappointingly weak on human rights and specifically women’s rights.
2. It betrays a naiveté, perhaps feigned, about how the Arab world works.
So here are a couple of things to note that Obama said:
(On Freedom of Religion) I saw it firsthand as a child in Indonesia, where devout Christians worshiped freely in an overwhelmingly Muslim country. That is the spirit we need today.
How much could Obama had seen being only 6 years old when his father was ordered by the government to return home. He was only there until he was 10.
He moved to Jakarta in 1967, just 2 years after a bloody coup, and Lieutenant General Ali Sadikin was governor of the city. Sadikin eliminated the lower class by removing them and mandated who could move into the city. Everyone was required to carry ID cards that specified one of the six government approved religions they followed. Exactly what did he see again?
L.A. Times could be withholding information
I haven’t reported anything on the L.A. times withholding information from the public. This is because I am a bit confused on it. However, I do know that there is a video tape out there that the L.A. times isn’t sharing. It has been reported that this video shows Obama at a party with anti-Israeli scholar Rashid Khalidi.
