Obama the Uniter – Not!

Among Obama’s many hallow promises during the election was that he would be a uniter and not a divider.  That he would be bipartisan and bring everyone together.  So far we’ve seen democrat only closed door meetings and televised debacles that showed Obama refusing to listen.  (My favorite part was when he got mad that the Republicans had the audacity to *gasp* bring Obama’s own proposed bill to the meeting!  The proposed bill was the purpose of the meeting.)  Well, now we are seeing this great “uniter” messing up overseas.  Israel

U.S.-Israeli relations have hit a 35-year low over a contentious east Jerusalem building project that threatens to derail peacemaking efforts with the Palestinians, Israel’s envoy to Washington was quoted as saying Monday….

"Israel’s ties with the United States are in their worst crisis since 1975 … a crisis of historic proportions," the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper quoted Oren as saying to Israeli diplomats in a phone briefing over the weekend.

Israeli officials said that the U.S. is pressing the Jewish nation to scrap the east Jerusalem building project.

Top U.S. officials have lined up in recent days to condemn the Israeli plan to build 1,600 apartments in east Jerusalem, the sector of the holy city that the Palestinians claim for their future capital.

How far would the Obama administration go?

I’ve reported some pretty odd things about the Obama Administration.  I thought nothing was going to top blackmailing and then bribing the Senator from Nebraska with free Medicaid for his state.  However, if this turns out to be true…….yikes!  What the heck is going on in D.C.?

In a nut shell – A NY Congressman, Eric Massa, announced he was not going to run for office again because of a recurrence of cancer.  Then the media reports that there is an ethics inquiry concerning Massa making an inappropriate comment to a male staffer.  Now he is resigning.  The “incident” happened 67 days ago and it is released now.  So, what is going on?Eric_Massa

It turns out Massa wasn’t a supporter of Obama’s Budget and is not a supporter of Obama’s healthcare reform.

Massa had some things to say as his last act as a politician on his radio show.  First, let’s deal with the inappropriate comment:

(After dancing with bride and bridesmaid at a wedding reception and returning to his table) "One of them looked at me and, as they would do after, I don’t know, 15 gin and tonics, and goodness only knows how many bottles of champagne, a staff member made an intonation to me that maybe I should be chasing after the bridesmaid, and his points were clear and his words were far more colorful than that.

Pelosi – Dems should not listen to the people

Here is the oath that members of the House must say before they can take office:

"I, (name of Member), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign or domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God."

Here is the oath that members of the Senate must say before they can take office:1984

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.

Let’s Try this AGAIN!

Senator John Boehner of Ohio, broached the topic of abortion, at the health care summit yesterday.   I have given up television for Lent so couldn’t watch the whole thing on C-Span, (which is probably a good thing because all the “point’s” I get for giving up TV would have gone right out the window, along with the TV, when I started cursing).  This clip however, was enough.  TALKING POINTS!!!  Federal funding of abortion is a TALKING POINT????   And if this was supposed to be a bi-partisan discussion, then what is with the “Those of us on THIS side” remark?  And why does it matter WHAT the people in that room think, if the American People DISAGREE???

Americans do NOT want federally funded abortions!  Period.  We don’t care what Sebelius, or Pelosi or Barack want.  They work for US!  I wish someone would tell them that.

Senator Boehner asked why they couldn’t start with a blank sheet of paper and discuss the things that they keep getting stuck on.  Iron those out and the rest would fall into place.  Obama’s reaction…”Tut, tut now John.  We mustn’t waste time discussing things we disagree on.  We disagreed in the beginning, we disagree now, and we will disagree in the future.  Therefore let’s not talk about that stuff.  Let’s stick to stuff we DO agree on”…Duh.  No wonder the bill keeps getting longer and longer and longer.

She wrote on her hand!

Can you believe that?  What a ditz.  What a moron.  She can’t even speak to an audience without crib notes on her hand!

It’s hard to believe that Diane Feinstein would do that, isn’t it?  I mean, she is so poised, so smart and intelligent, yet she writes on the palm of her hand during a debate she had while running for Governor of California.  So, what’s the big deal?  Well, the media, including the White House Press Secretary, is making fun of Palin for doing what Feinstein was already caught doing.  Wasn’t the politics in Washington supposed to be BI partisan  under Obama?

I love McCain’s response to the “news”:White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs

"I guess it’s OK to use a teleprompter but not OK to write something on your hand,"

Something tell me that Palin would be able to talk to grade school kids without a teleprompter, but we ain’t supposed to talk about that.  Oh, well.  The liberal media attacking Palin or any female politician is nothing knew, so we can just ignore it.  What gets me is what W.H. Press Secretary Robert Gibbs did:

Will Obama blackmail those who disagree

I’ve been talking repeatedly about the Obama’s administration inability to tell the truth, blackmailing and bribing anyone who gets in his way.  Last year a congressman stood up to the administrationobama-snob and now more people will be paying.

Obama’s budget eliminates a $1 million scholarship program for aspiring Olympic athletes at Northern Michigan University. Here’s why it matters: In 1998, the program was renamed to honor B. J. Stupak, the late son of Rep. Bart Stupak (D., Mich.), who committed suicide in 2000.

I’m sure we all remember the Stupak-Pitts amendment right?  The one that doesn’t allow federal funds to pay for abortions.  I guess we know what happens when you stand up to your belief’s in this administration.

The sad part is that the scholarship has helped many athletes:

Shani Davis, the first black speed skater to make the U.S. Olympic team, credits the scholarship with keeping in him school. There are hundreds of stories like that. This program has become a small farm team for Olympic education.

Good think Obama thinks education is a good thing.  Bad thing is that he keeps cutting programs and scholarships that help people obtain that education.

China, Obama and the Persecution of Catholics

We owe a lot of money to China.  You’ve heard the saying “Never tick off your barber?”  Well, it looks like Obama is about to royally piss off China.  I’m not rippin’ on Obama here, just pointing out that when you make a pact with the devil you should most definitely take into consideration the ramifications of crossing your partner.

From AsiaNews.IT:

On 16 February, the spiritual leader of Tibetans will begin his journey in the United States. Chinese official: the government is "firmly opposed" to a meeting between the two Nobel Peace Prize Winners. The Tibetan government in exile dismisses China. Washington: The meeting will be held at an appropriate stage.

Beijing (AsiaNews / Agencies) – A meeting between U.S. President Barack Obama and the Dalai Lama "would seriously threaten" relations between Beijing and Washington. This was the statement expressed by a Chinese official two weeks ahead of the Tibetans spiritual leaders visit to the United States. Dharamsala – the seat of the Tibetan government in exile – rejects of the Chinese government threat and stresses that "there is no reason" to fear any discussion "between Obama and his holiness."

Obama not as bright as we thunk

Yikes!  I’m beginning to think that Obama doesn’t know we have video camera’s and know how to use them.  He has said so much and then does the exact opposite of what he said.  Then he acts surprised that we remembered what he said!  An example is CSPAN.  He said that he would be so transparent that he would allow CSPAN to air Congressional discussions concerning specific bills.  And now he is back peddling because of all the closed door meetings, black mail and bribery that this administration is going to be famous for in the history books.  (Trust me, when CNN and MSNBC are pointing all this out, it will go down in history.)

Well, now we have a President who is so stupid he can’t even give a speech to 6th graders without the use of his teleprompter.  He’s embarrassed us enough over his debacle overseas, now he needs someone else to write a speech for him so he can talk to 6th graders and he can’t even review that speech before going into the classroom?  Good Grief.   Maybe the words were too big?thank_you_sign

But this isn’t the worst part of all of this.  He has this on his website:

Rahm Emanual: “The First Amendment is Overrated”

It took awhile, but I finally found the clip of Rahm Emanual saying the “When you think about the First Amendment, it highly overrated”. This is not some low level political adviser to the President, this is the White House Chief of Staff. This is one of the key advisers to the President of the United States who swears to defend the Constitution. How do you feel having a person with this view advising POTUS? Watch the video and tell us what you think using that highly overrated first amendment!
