Psych evaluation for kid who draws Jesus

This is beyond ridiculous and more proof that this PC world just needs to grow up!

A Taunton father is outraged after his 8-year-old son was sent home from school and required to undergo a psychological evaluation after drawing a stick-figure picture of Jesus Christ on the cross….

The student drew the picture shortly after taking a family trip to see the Christmas display at the National Shrine of Our Lady of La Salette, a Christian retreat site in Attleboro. He made the drawing in class after his teacher asked the 8YearOldDrawingOfJesus children to sketch something that reminded them of Christmas, the father said…..

Toni Saunders, an educational consultant with the Associated Advocacy Center…..“When I got that call, I was so appalled that I had to do something,” Saunders said.

“They weren’t looking at the fact that this is an 8-year-old child with special needs,” she added. “They made him leave school, and they recommended that a psychiatrist do an evaluation.”

The school, in fact, required the evaluation before the boy could return, the father said.

The man said his son, who gets specialized reading and speech instruction at school, has never shown any tendency toward violence…

Religious people have never been criticized!

Whew!  I’m so glad that the Center for Inquiry has informed us that Religious people have never been criticized and have been allowed to walk around free for too long.

September 30 is International Blasphemy Day according to the Center for Inquiry.  The day wasChristianShapes-Crosses chosen because it is the anniversary date of the Danish Cartoon of Muhammad that outraged the Muslim communities.  However, their events don’t seem to be criticizing Islam at all, but only Christians.  Hm….. Stupid is as Stupid does is such a good description of this group.

Other than the Danish Cartoon there was one more thing that got the Atheists butts-a-burning:

The UN, rather than standing up for free speech, has given in to pressure from Islamic nations and has proposed a resolution to essentially ban criticism of religion. In its pursuit of "tolerance" for religion, this resolution wants to strip everyone, everywhere, of their freedom, even their obligation, to criticize what they oppose.

Is this a good idea? You decide.

I’ll just give you the story in it’s entirety (no editing on my part)  and leave comments up to you.

The author of controversial book The God Delusion is helping to launch Britain’s first summer retreat for non-believers.

Richard Dawkins is subsidising the camp which will offer children aged eight to 17 the chance to sing along to John Lennon’s Imagine and have lessons in evolution.

The five-day camp, based in Somerset, promises to be ‘beyond belief’ – the event’s motto – and will rival traditional faith-based breaks run by the Scouts and church groups.RichardDawkinsAPphoto

As well as traditional camp pursuits such as trekking and tug-of-war attendees will be given lessons in moral philosophy and evolutionary biology as well as debating otherworldly activities such as crop circles and telepathy.

There will even be a £10 prize for the child who can disprove the existence of the mythical unicorn.

And instead of finishing up the day with a toasted marshmallow and round of Kim-bi-ya budding atheists will belt out ‘Imagine there’s no heaven…and no religion too.’

Dawkins said the camp was designed to ‘encourage children to think for themselves sceptically and rationally.’

Reverse Psychology

Conservative writer and college professor, Mike Adams, has a note to all his future students:

It’s getting close to time to start another semester………starting this semester, I’m adding three more rules. Gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, and RainbowTriangle transgendered students (GILBERTS) need to pay especially close attention.

First of all, GILBERTS will not be allowed to mention their status as gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, or trans-gendered…….

Second of all, GILBERTS will not be allowed to offer even mild criticisms of those who disagree with them……

Finally, GILBERTS will not be allowed to state their beliefs concerning the origins of human rights……

With all the rules he gave a description of being offended by some of the behaviors and attitudes that have happened in his classes in the past.  It is strikingly similar to what Christians are told to do in all public classes because everything Christian offends others.  All examples ended with the sentence:  “Just shut up and comply with the rule.”

Hopefully, by now, most of you realize you are reading political satire. But that crucial fact – and the larger point of the satire – was lost on countless GILBERTS across the nation.…. they began to fire off letters to the UNC-Wilmington administration demanding that I be fired.
