What should pro-life democrats do?

tim_as_darkness

How many times do we hear that the democratic party isn’t the party of death?  They falsely claim they are the party of choice.  Well, once again we can show that they are only for the choice as long as they agree with that choice.

Rep. Bart Stupak, a pro-life Democrat, is chagrined. “They’re ignoring me,” he says, in a phone interview with National Review Online. “That’s their strategy now. The House Democratic  leaders think they have the votes to pass the Senate’s health-care bill without us. At this point, there is no doubt that they’ve been able to peel off one or two of my twelve. And even if they don’t have the votes, it’s been made clear to us that they won’t insert our language on the abortion issue.”

Kathleen Sebelious made the network interview rounds last week and said specifically that abortion would not be funded by Obama’s healthcare plan.  She wouldn’t answer why they wouldn’t put that in writing.  Lies are the change we get … I’m afraid to see what the hope is.

Women fight so girls can die

It is women who lead the fight for abortion.  Women.  If abortion and the killing of an innocent child wasn’t lawful and encouraged we wouldn’t be here right now, would we?  Every time a womanoneChildPropaganda stands by abortion, she stands by this story.  She says that women are not worth anything.  She says that it is okay to encourage a male dominated society which history has shown to be violent societies, especially toward women.

So, as the story goes:

XINRAN XUE, a Chinese writer, describes visiting a peasant family in the Yimeng area of Shandong province…….“To my absolute horror, I saw a tiny foot poking out of the pail. The midwife must have dropped that tiny baby alive into the slops pail! I nearly threw myself at it, but the two policemen….held my shoulders in a firm grip…..“‘But that’s…murder…and you’re the police!’ The little foot was still now. The policemen held on to me for a few more minutes. ‘Doing a baby girl is not a big thing around here,’ [an] older woman said comfortingly. ‘That’s a living child,’ I said in a shaking voice, pointing at the slops pail. ‘It’s not a child,’ she corrected me. ‘It’s a girl baby, and we can’t keep it. Around these parts, you can’t get by without a son. Girl babies don’t count.’”

Let’s Try this AGAIN!

Senator John Boehner of Ohio, broached the topic of abortion, at the health care summit yesterday.   I have given up television for Lent so couldn’t watch the whole thing on C-Span, (which is probably a good thing because all the “point’s” I get for giving up TV would have gone right out the window, along with the TV, when I started cursing).  This clip however, was enough.  TALKING POINTS!!!  Federal funding of abortion is a TALKING POINT????   And if this was supposed to be a bi-partisan discussion, then what is with the “Those of us on THIS side” remark?  And why does it matter WHAT the people in that room think, if the American People DISAGREE???

Americans do NOT want federally funded abortions!  Period.  We don’t care what Sebelius, or Pelosi or Barack want.  They work for US!  I wish someone would tell them that.

Senator Boehner asked why they couldn’t start with a blank sheet of paper and discuss the things that they keep getting stuck on.  Iron those out and the rest would fall into place.  Obama’s reaction…”Tut, tut now John.  We mustn’t waste time discussing things we disagree on.  We disagreed in the beginning, we disagree now, and we will disagree in the future.  Therefore let’s not talk about that stuff.  Let’s stick to stuff we DO agree on”…Duh.  No wonder the bill keeps getting longer and longer and longer.

Angie Has an Abortion…And You’re Invited

Seriously, there are no words…there just aren’t.

Okay, maybe there’s a few…how about she was using 2 kinds of birth control but still found herself pregnant?  Hmmmmm…tell me again why we should promote contraception?

Or how about “There’s no shame”…no, I guess there isn’t.  There’s no shame in anything anymore.  And THAT is a shame.

Or how about, what is this child’s big brother going to think when he sees his mom on YouTube talking about killing his little brother or sister…

***I’m not a Jesus on a Tortilla believer, but I gotta say, that silhouette in the window behind her…well, what does it look like to you?

“BUMP”: To Abort or Not to Abort. That is the Question!

Pregnant_Women_Pictures There’s a new faux reality show that is sure to get people talking…but does the end justify the means?

When we were praying outside of the Planned Parenthood Clinic in Washington D.C. last month, the teens were appalled when one of the deathscorts, after successfully ushering a client through the door, did an actual cartwheel.  Dawn Johnson, Obama’s pick for “Office of Legal Counsel” has made these and other comments in the past:

– Choosing life for a child is comparable to “involuntary servitude”

– Pro-life activists use the “intimidation carried out by the Ku Klux Klan"

– Being pregnant turns mothers into “fetal containers”

– Conceiving a child is analogous to “being struck by drunk drivers”

– Pro-abortion leaders should never portray “abortions as tragedies”

SBA List

Obama himself has called children of unplanned pregnancies “punishments”.  Here’s some more quotes about the unborn…

Joycelyn Elders:15th Surgeon General of the United States

"We really need to get over this love affair with the fetus and start worrying about children."

The abilities of Patrick Henry Hughes

While watching this video I want everyone to think about what would have happened if he were conceived today.  An ultrasound would have detected something odd and abortion probably would have been pushed on this family.  Who would want to live that way?  Isn’t that the pro-aborts mantra……

His father is what every father is supposed to do for their children.  It’s so sad that our society just doesn’t seem to get it.  The imperfect can not only lead a good life, but be inspirations to us all.

History Repeats itself

We have all heard the many arguments that some believe abortion is similar to the Holocaust and many different idea’s are used for this.  However, the article I just read that Samuel Ferraro recommend I read really does put things in perspective onHitler_Poster this debate.

What happens when we compare the abortion laws and the propaganda surrounding abortion before WWII to today?  That is the premise of Anne Barbeau Gardiner review of the book “Cultures of Abortion in Weimar Germany. By Cornelie Usborne.

Here is just some of the book review by Gardiner:

Contraception, of course, was not foolproof, so abortions multiplied and “official disapproval” of them faltered…..German law on abortion became “one of the most liberal in the world” because doctors could easily convince officials that any abortion was necessary for “health” reasons.

Wow, doesn’t that sound familiar?  Didn’t we discover that Dr. Tiller was doing abortions on viable babies and the “health” reasons had nothing to do with “health”?

Ewww. Aborted Baby become Christmas Gift

How sick does one have to be to do this?  I first saw this story on the Catholic League Website and I thought it must be a joke!  I really wish I didn’t go searching for the truth!

A south Texas couple put an aborted 7-month-old fetus in a gift box under a Christmas tree after they were unable to flush the remains down a toilet, authorities alleged Monday.

San Juan Police Chief Juan Gonzalez said police found the fetus inside the woman’schristmas-present trailer home Thursday after getting an anonymous tip.

Autopsy results are pending, but Gonzalez said police believe the woman used pills to induce an abortion Thursday, then called an ambulance after she began bleeding and told doctors she didn’t know where the fetus was.

The police chief said the couple tried to flush the fetus down the toilet, but that didn’t work.

"Apparently they cleaned up the fetus and they placed it inside a gift box under the Christmas tree," the police chief said.

Abortion, The Death Penalty and The Eucharist

We had a post about the death penalty a couple of weeks ago, and we ALWAYS have posts about abortion…I’ve also posted twice now about Patrick Kennedy and Bishop of Rhode Island  Fr. Thomas Tobin.  Bishop Tobin was on the O’Reilly factor last nite.  Here’s what he said about why he has forbidden Patrick Kennedy to receive Holy Communion…

Very respectful, yes?  Now let’s hear Chris Matthews interview on the same topic…

Not much of an interview, no?  I always thought an interview was when the host asks a question and the guest answers it.  I couldn’t even finish watching it.  Matthews goes on a tirade and bam, bam, bam…He’s telling the Catholic Church how to run it’s business while chastising the bishop for telling the congressman how to run his…

But we’re rude, insane, fringe nutjobs?????

Now, what did we learn from O’reilly’s interview?

And what did we learn from Matthews “interview”?

I rest my case.  I wish Chris Matthews would do the same.

So You Think You Can Dance?

Man, talk about a 2-step.  Way to evade the question, Mr. President.

Obama has NO INTENTION of keeping tax payers from funding abortions. He just hasn’t figure out how to disguise this fact in a bill.  I don’t think he realizes that he ain’t dealin’ with amateurs here.  It’ll take more than fancy footwork to sneak this past us.  But that doesn’t mean he won’t try.

Pinning this guy down is like trying to hug an eel.  Slippery, slippery, slippery.

I say good.  The longer he plays games with the abortion issue, the longer we have until the Health Plan is implemented.  If we can just hold him off until 2012!
