Well, Well,  Well…it looks like the main stream media has finally caught up with the rest of us.  I posted a year ago about a study that shows using the pill can have some pretty crazy side effects but now ABC has joined the foray.

You see, the pill works by telling your body that you’re in the early stages of pregnancy.  This can actually make you desire sex less.  Ironic, ain’t it?  You take the pill so you can have sex, but then don’t want sex because you’ve taken the pill…

It can changes your mucus, obviously in the cervix, but less obviously in your nose.  A dry vagina and a stuffy nose…this just sounds better and better.

Women on the pill may suffer a lackluster sex drive, mood swings, or even extra sinus pressure, she said.

“Some women may notice their sinuses are a little stuffier,” Santoro explained. “It speaks to the bigger point that pills do affect the mucus production of the body.”

That means mucus, whether on the cervix or in the nose, can become thicker.

But the really interesting side effect is that it can affect your choice of partners! 

This August, research began to confirm another strange connection between the birth control pill and a woman’s nose.

In a study of about 100 college students in the U.K., scientists found that the pill may change how women find a man’s scent sexually attractive.

The study collected body odor from volunteers and put it in jars for the ladies to smell. Among the 200-300 different chemical compounds in sweat, researchers tried to draw a connection to the woman’s reaction to the sweat and a by-product in the sweat from the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) genes, which contribute to the body’s immune system.

Since the late 1990s, research has shown that women find the scent of a man more attractive if he has MHC genes that are different from their own, and less attractive if he has similar MHC genes.

But that all may change two months after a woman goes on the pill.

Some of you may know this…others of you may be in for a surprise.  Many people believe  that Kwanzaa is an ancient tradition, celebrating the African peoples. 

We’ve all heard of the seven principles…unity, self-determination, collective responsibility, cooperative economics, purpose, creativity, and faith.  We’ve seen cards at hallmark.  Maybe your children have even celebrated it at their Holiday Pageants.

But the truth about Kwanzaa is actually quite disturbing.  From Marsha Stegelstein’s website:

Kwanzaa was invented in 1966 by black radical and ex-convict Ron Karenga, now known as Dr. Maulana Karenga.  Karenga has an interesting history.  He helped to found a radically anti-white organization called the United Slaves, because he believed that the Black Panthers were insufficiently violent.
Over the years, Kwanzaa has “evolved” from its original incarnation.  Back in 1999, the official Kwanzaa website declared that the celebration was intended to foster “conditions that would enhance the revolutionary social change for the masses of Black Americans.”  Karenga created a black, red and green flag, along with a pledge to go along with it:  “We pledge allegiance to the red, black and green, our flag, the symbol of our eternal struggle, and to the land we must obtain; one nation of black people, with one G-d of us all, totally united in the struggle, for black love, black freedom and black self-determination.”  The website’s been cleaned up considerably since then.  All that radical talk can’t be good for selling Kwanzaa cards and “kinaras.”

A 12-year-old schoolgirl has been left paralysed from the waist down by a mystery illness that came on 30 minutes after she was given the new anticervical cancer jab.

Ashleigh Cave suffered dizziness and headaches soon after the vaccination at her school and then deteriorated rapidly, collapsing several times over the following days.

A week later she was admitted to hospital after losing all strength in her legs and, two months on, there has been no improvement…..

In America, where an immunisation programme using a similar product, Gardasil, began more than a year earlier, there have been dozens of serious “adverse events” reported in which a link to the vaccinations is suspected.

They included 30 deaths in addition to cases of Guillain-Barré syndrome, an auto-immune disease that can cause paralysis. The American authorities have said, however, that there is no evidence the HPV jabs caused these reactions.

Has anyone heard any reports of these reactions?  I sure haven’t.  Don’t you think all the Gardasil commercials should have that information?  However, the American Authorities refuse to listen because they claim Gardasil cannot cause these sort of illnesses.  Anyone here remember when they said Aspirin was perfectly safe to give when a child has the flu?  Or how about giving antibiotics for everything - that was perfectly safe too.  Oops, they were wrong.  How many people were injured because of the lack of acknowledgment?

So, what is the Winter Solstice?
Is the celebration of the coming spring. It was the turning point of the Winter, the longest night, the point at which life is seen to be returning.

Why is it important to you?
As said its the point at which light is seen to be returning. It meant there was only so much longer before spring crops had to be planted again and that ancient people needed to survive on the food they preserved.

How do you celebrate it?
Basically everything thats done now minus jesus. Christmas Trees and big partys where all parts of the celebration. Fruit was adorn on things and mostly given as gifts BECAUSE there was so little of it left.

Why do you celebrate it?

Okay.  First Nancy Pelosi quotes St. Augustine (incorrectly), then Joe Biden backs her up.  Now Arnold is out pushing for Gay Marriage and his wife admits she’s a Cafeteria Catholic.

At issue is Pelosi’s assertion that the Catholic Church did not have a solid position against abortion. On when life begins, she said: “I would say that as an ardent, practicing Catholic, this is an issue that I have studied for a long time . . . And what I know is, over the centuries, the doctors of the church have not been able to make that definition.  And Senator - St. Augustine said at three months.  We don’t know.”

This was originally posted in April - with the new CDC abortion surveillence coming out the end of this month it is important to remember how differing organizations skew the results.

When I was reviewing the CDC reports here and here I noticed something very strange.   The JAMA study that a Pro-choicer quoted from on Jill’s site has inaccurate information in it.  At least, I cannot find any information from either the CDC or the Guttmacher Institite that verify their claim.  Their “fact” of 9.1 maternal deaths out of 100,000 live births from pregnancy and childbirth is what I cannot find.  They said there were 0.6 abortion related maternal deaths per 100,000 abortions and that article was wrote in 1992.  There are only 2 years where the case fatality rate for abortion was 0.6 and that was in 1981 and 1990.  The maternal mortality rate for childbirth in 1981 was 8.5 per 100,000 and in 1990 was 8.2 per 100,000.  Now, some may be saying that isn’t much of a difference from 9.1.  Well, it is.  It is a difference of 22 and 38 women respectively that didn’t die those years.

So I decided to see what organizations are bold enough to say that “abortion is 10 times safer than childbirth”.

This article was published in April. The new CDC Abortion Surveillence report should be coming out at the end of this month. I did a 2 part study on Maternal Mortality Statistics and how inaccurate some organizations are when it comes to abortion statistics and I believe it is important to review the facts before everyone skews the results to suit their needs. The second part will be posted later today.

We on the pro-life side hear it all the time.  That abortion is ten times safer than childbirth based on maternal mortality statistics.  Somehow, in their minds, this means abortion is the better choice if the pregnancy is unwanted.  (Pregnancy can be unwanted, children cannot.  Someone would want the child even if the biological mother doesn’t. - but I digress.)  On Jill’s blog there was a discussion on this and based on statistics it was proven that both childbirth and abortion have less than a 1% chance of maternal death in the United States.  I wanted to provide this information on this website so I decided to dig a bit further rather than just accept the results of a study a Pro-choicer linked to.  What I found was very interesting.
