Media doesn’t care about the truth.

Michelle Malkin has an interesting syndicated column today.
“HERE is a tale of two breeds of undercover journalists. One has been celebrated by the national media and journalism organizations. The other has been shunned. One has champions in Congress. The other is facing litigation.
Both engaged in sting operations with secret cameras catching their targets on videotape. Both were deceptive about their true identities and life circumstances. Both exposed their targets’ aggressive methods and law-subverting recruitment tactics. But you’ve probably only heard of the efforts of one of these breeds……”
So who are these journalists and why is one being ignored by our established media?
The first group Ms. Malkin is talking about is the recent sting operations on military recruiters. The media adores these students who have gone undercover to catch the evil military lying to our youth. Go here for an example. According to her column, one student, David McSwane, has even won an award for his undercover work exposing a recruiter trying to get him a detox kit and a phony diploma.
Ms. Malkin gives an example of the other group, the one being ignored: 
“[Lila] Rose is an 18-year-old student journalist at UCLA. Like McSwane and his breed of undercover reporters, she surreptitiously infiltrated a massive organization that enlists young people. Like McSwane and his breed of undercover reporters, Rose exposed deceptive practices. Rose posed as a 15-year-old seeking the services and advice of her target. Like McSwane and his breed of undercover reporters, she caught her targets urging her to lie and evade the law in order to sign her up.
But Rose’s target was the Left’s beloved Planned Parenthood, not the military. And that has made all the difference in the nonexistent national coverage of her undercover journalism.”
Lila Rose has done more than just expose Planned Parenthood. In November of 2006 she went under cover at 2 UCLA’s health centers posing as a woman in a crisis pregnancy. What she discovered is that UCLA doesn’t have any support for students who want to continue with the pregnancy. They have 2 abortion doctors but no pre-natal care, no adoption referral service or any pregnancy support groups. You can read her article in ‘The Advocate’ here. (What ever happened to the liberals wanting abortion to be rare?)
Then in March of this year Lila Rose posed as a 15 year old girl who was pregnant by her 23 year old boyfriend. She video taped the encounter and posted them on YouTube. On the video, a Planned Parenthood employee is telling her how to lie about her age so no one would have to tell the authorities. (What ever happened to liberals wanting abortions to be safe?)

What is the lesson of today’s post? The evil military needs to be exposed for their illegal activities. But Planned Parenthood is too good for that. They are only helping rapists and phedophiles get away with abusing our youth, why should we be concerned about that?
