The Choice of Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness
By Valerie Jane | April 17, 2008
Liberals say that we must be tolerant. They are also banning anything that they deem to be intolerant. But isn’t banning something mean you are intolerant of the thing you are banning? The latest horrible aspect of life that they are wanting to ban is happening in the UK. What is this horrible thing? Using these nasty words: Father, Mother, Husband, Wife, Spouse, Girlfriend and Boyfriend. Go here to read about the (liberal) gay lobbiest wanting to ban these words, and here for the (not as liberal)
education department reaction.
Rush Limbaugh is what got me thinking about this. He read a partial list of things that the liberal “has guilted us into either giving up, guilted us into using, or banning.”
Here is that list:
Has been or wanting to be banned:
1. Prayer
2. lead paint
3. Freon in air conditioning
4. Aerosol cans
5. Paper bags
a. no wait, its plastic bags
b. hmm, pollute the environment or cut down the trees?
6. Oat Bran
7. Coffee
a. no wait, coffee is okay - think Starbucks
8. Incandescent lightbulbs
9. Balloons
10. Outdoor Beach lighting during turtle season
11. Cutting trees on your own private property
12. Nuclear power plants
13. Coal mining
14. Drilling for oil
a. Unless the drilling is in a third world country where protecting the environment isn’t even in the vocabulary, then it is okay.
15. Trans fat
16. Coconut Oil
a. no wait, that’s not that bad for you
17. Smoking
18. Monkey Bars at Playgrounds
19. High slides
20. Toy Guns
a. Yet our youth just keeps getting more violent with each generation. Could it be highly violent video games played in the first person are highly recommended by liberals?
21. Garbage Disposals
22. Rare Meat
23. Firecrackers
24. Diving boards
25. Playing Tag at recess
a. Being “it” puts too much focus on being “it” while never getting to be “it” can cause self-esteem issues.
b. did you keep up with all of that?
26. Guns
27. Citizen involvment in elections
a. And a conservative even helped with that one!
Guilt us into using:
1. Low flow toilets
2. Helmets
3. Seatbelts
4. Carseats
5. Schools must teach gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and other alternative lifesyles in gradeschool
6. Teachers and other public workers must take diversity classes
According to Rush this is just a partial list.
What ever happened to freedom? Why can’t we choose what our children learn on social issues? Why can’t we choose what toys or play equipment our children will play with? Let me get this straight - The only choice the liberals want you to have is the choice of contraceptions and the choice of weather or not an unborn baby is worthy enough to live. They don’t even want us to have a choice on traditional sexual lifestyles - if you choose abstinence or a life long monogomous relationship, you’d be wrong in the liberal deffinition. Don’t believe me? Go to any college campus and announce you are a virgin until marriage and see what happens! But never, ever mention that you might be a conservative - that would cause you to get expelled from any and all social functions.
Good thing they are so tolerant, huh?

A friend of mine (also named Valerie, and I often get confused as to who I’m talking to) just emailed me to say that Al Gore is being sued for a number of lies that are in his Inconvenient Truth movie. When/If she sends them to me (she suffers from the same malady…confusion…that you do. Maybe it’s the name?) I’ll send them on to you…

What’s in a name?
Confusion, perhaps!
I’ve done a bit of looking and found a few things, let me know if you get the info she has. Would make an excellent post!
