Pro-life VS Pro-Choice

Pro-abortion VS Anti-abortion

question markTo say you are Pro-life is a very difficult thing to admit.  You have to ask yourself, are you for life in every situation?  Do you believe in capital punishment?  If you answered yes to the last question then you are not Pro-life.

To say that you support life then you must be on the side of life for every issue.  If not, then you are lying to yourself.  Pro-Life means that in the question of life or death you will choose life no matter the issue or subject.

What does Pro-Choice mean?  In reality we are all Pro-Choice.  It’s called free will.  We all believe we should be able to choose how we want to live.  What if it violates the laws?  Are you still Pro-Choice?  Do you believe someone should be able to choose to murder their neighbor?  Do you think a man should be able to choose to rape a woman?  Do you believe an adult should be able to choose to have sex with a child?  So, I was wrong, none of us are Pro-Choice.

Many people who claim to be Pro-Choice do not like to be called Pro-Abortion.  However, what is the choice you are Pro to?  Is it murder?  Is it rape?  Is it pedophilia?  No?  Then why do you say you are Pro-Choice when you obviously are not?  The correct wording would be you are Pro-Choice on Abortion.   Since the choice that you are Pro on is abortion, then you are Pro-Abortion.

What about Pro-Life then?  If you will choose life in every scenario, then you are indeed Pro-Life.  I can come up with a few situations where it would be difficult for me to be Pro-Life.  Therefore, in reality, I am not Pro-Life.  I am Pro-Life on abortion.  Therefore I do not believe in abortion.  Therefore, I am anti-abortion.question mark

Why do we mix words like this?  Why are we afraid to admit that the subject matter is Abortion?  If someone asks you if you are Pro-Choice or Pro-Life they are asking you if you are Pro-Abortion or Anti-Abortion.  If someone wants to know your stance on capital punishment they will ask you, “Are you for or against capital punishment.”  I’m not quite sure how you could be Pro-Choice on Capital Punishment.  Who is going to get that Choice?

The topic is Abortion.  Some are Anti-Abortion.  Some are Pro-Abortion.  Why are we so afraid to admit what this is really about?
