Talk about a culture of death!

I’ve taken to donating to charities in other people’s names as gifts. Can’t do it for everyone, but the list grows longer each year.

Two years ago, each person I gave this “gift” to came with a note saying “I’m sick and tired of the materialistic Christmas. I’m taking Christmas Back”.

I’m planning on giving even more of these “gifts” this year.

Sometimes when I’m saying the rosary, and get to the crowning of thorns, I think of the poor sap that was commissioned to create the crown. I wonder what ever happened to him. How he felt, watching them shove those 3 inch thorns through a man’s head. What was he thinking when he was bending the stems, tying the ends…

I wonder too, what those people that got their “Big Screen TV” will be thinking when they’re watching Monday Night Football…will they remember the woman that died so they could watch the game on a big screen?

So sad. The world is so sad…

Who is the guy who’s out there now who can say “Yeah, I remember when I rushed in, I kinda shouldered this employee, and then sort of stepped up his leg and he fell over. It didn’t stop my forward motion, but I kinda looked back and yelled ’sorry bout that, dude.’ I did end up getting the Wii for half off.”

There are several people out there who can now tell a story just like this- that they remember rushing in, pushing a lot of people, at one point it felt like they might have been stepping on someone, they heard a scream, but it didn’t deter them, and they ended up getting some good deals. How do you live knowing this for the rest of your life?

Bobby,

The same way you live with killing your own child?
Maybe we should do some research on “Post trampling a guy to get a Wii syndrome”!

Possibly… but even then, you know what you’re doing when you obtain an abortion, or at least, you’re EXPECTING to be getting an abortion. With these people, when they ran over this guy, it was probably just for them something like “oops, sorry about that (he’ll be fine, just a little bruise).” And that lead to the cause of this man’s death. Uncaring, negligence. My goodness.

Yeah, it’s the argument in Kreefts article. You see an overcoat in the road. There MIGHT be a body in it. If there is, it’s murder. If there isn’t it’s criminal negligence.

These people are guilty of that negligence. They should be prosecuted. It all comes down to personal responsibility.

I wanted to address SoMG on Jills and say that it is not the people who keep the child because they want to, that love the child, but those that keep the child even tho they DON’T want it, that understand real love.

Taking responsibility for our actions, is one way of expressing love. Neglecting our responsibilities is not love. Anyone can do that.

He couldn’t define love. My heart just breaks for that man.

Ah, yes, I was just about to say… when Eileen asked him to define love, he lateraled to Plato. If only he would bust out the catechism…

Well, I mean really, if we can watch someone commit suicide online and not call the cops for 12 hours, what’s the big deal about trampling/killing someone for Guitar Hero?!! He was only 32 and a father working some overtime at Wal-Mart anyway. *eyeroll*

I know I shouldn’t be surprised at our culture anymore…but I really, really am sometimes. Surprised and sickened.

What makes this all worse is what the reports are saying now!

I guess this man’s co-workers were trying to save him only to be pushed down and trampled on as well. When the cops got there they told everyone they had to get out of the store - and couldn’t purchase anything. They almost rioted! Even when told there was a worker that had been killed, all they cared about was what they wanted to buy!

I don’t know how these people can live with themselves! The chances are poor that the cops will file any charges - the scene was choas and near impossible to see anything on the security camera’s.
