This story from Fox News shows what kind of world we live in, and it ain’t pretty.
LONDON — A man who fathered nine children with his two daughters had attracted official suspicion but avoided detection for decades by moving his family frequently and intimidating his victims into silence, British prosecutors say.
Prosecutors told the court that the man raped his daughters from the time they were 8 or 10 years old, beating them when they resisted. Over a 25-year period he impregnated them 19 times, and they bore seven surviving children. Two more infants died at birth, while the other pregnancies ended in abortion or miscarriage.
“Where were the medical professionals? Where were the social workers? What were they doing for the last 20 years?” said Nick Clegg, leader of the opposition Liberal Democrats…..One answer is that some people did notice. At various points police, schools and medical staff all asked questions about the daughters’ situation — but the daughters denied anything was wrong and the pieces were never put together.
The court heard that authorities at several points raised concerns about the family. A school asked questions about burn marks on one girl’s arm, but it was attributed to bullying.
In 1997, the daughters’ brother went to police to report the incest. But his sisters refused to cooperate and the investigation stalled.
Medical staff also had concerns about the high number of abnormalities in the women’s pregnancies. One doctor even asked one of the women whether her father was the father of her children. She denied it.
How many stories have we heard of things like this happening. The man in Austria who imprisoned his daughter for 24 years, fathering her children. The man in Connecticut who imprisoned a girl and when he took her for an abortion, no one asked any questions, which lengthened her abuse. Two girls in Ohio - one whose father abused her for over 7 years and forced her to have an abortion at Planned Parenthood, who ignored her pleas for help. The second whose coach paid for her abortion at Planned Parenthood with no questions asked.
Remember these stories. Put them in your memory. You may be thinking “this isn’t the norm, we shouldn’t be over reacting”. How many times do you think parents abuse their children because the parents find out they’re pregnant. How many parents kick their kids out of their house (which is illegal, by the way) because their kids are pregnant? There are approximately 750,000 teen pregnancies a year. How many times do you hear of this kind of neglect and abuse because their teens are pregnant.
Why should you remember this? Because this lame excuse of protecting the child is used every time the Pro-Choice crowd wants to ban parental notification. Were these kind of laws protecting the children in this article? Or were they helping their abusers?
Remember these stories. Demand laws protecting our children. Demand parental notification. If a child is going to be abused at her home because of her pregnancy, lets give her an opportunity to protect herself by getting out of the house instead of giving her an abortion and sending her to the home she is unsafe in.

Well in most of those situations parental notification wouldn’t have worked because the parents were the ones abusing their children. In this case the two daughters denied what was happening which may seem unbelievable but considering how scared they were of their father and the fact that their home was the only home they knew and they probably had the same type of devotion we have towards our parents it puts it into context. Such a sad situation.
Years ago a friend of mine bypassed the parental notification laws by going in front of a judge. I don’t know much else this as I learned of this years later.
