What is Teenage Virginity?

The International Headlines seem to be full of the societal diseases that promiscuity brings.  As a society we have turned a blind eye to it which is causing many problems.  Of course we all know about STD’s and Abortion as being the 2 biggest problems, but who would have that baby trafficking would become one of them.

Police raids have revealed an alleged network baby "farms" or "factories" in Nigeria, forcing a new look at the scope of human trafficking in the country.

At a hospital in Enugu, a large city in Nigeria’s southeast, 20 teenage girls were rescued in May in a police swoop on what was believed to be one of the largest infant trafficking rings in the west African country.

The doctor in charge, who is now on trial, reportedly lured teenagers with unwanted pregnancies by offering to help with abortion.

They would be locked up there until they gave birth, whereupon they would be forced to give up their babies for a token fee of around $170.

The babies would then be sold to buyers for anything between $2500-$3800 each, according to a state agency fighting human trafficking in Nigeria, the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP).

You may be wondering how this story has anything to do with promiscuity.  If the girls didn’t get pregnant, the Dr. would not have been able to do this.  Also, if abortion wasn’t considered the "cure" for unwanted pregnancies they wouldn’t have gone to him. 

Now for those of you shaking your heads and practically screaming that these girls could have been raped which is what brought them to their condition - Nigeria is so desperate to stop the teen promiscuity they have come up with unique ways to try to keep their girls chaste until marriage.

Oh - and now for those of you that are screaming we need to provide "more education" and "more condoms" to these people - Too late.  International Planned Parenthood Federation is already there and has been since 1984.  They pride themselves on being the main organization in Nigeria for reproductive health.

Over 20 years with governmental aid, 110 employees and 774 volunteers for Planned Parenthood has resulted in:

Girls who have not lost virginity are to be given scholarships up to university level. It has become extremely difficult to find young women and girls who are virgins in a society with poor moral values and unbridled promiscuity.

Bribery.  They have to bribe their teens to stay virgins to try to control AIDS, STD’s and unwanted pregnancies among the young. 

We are going to Hell in a Handbasket and no one seems to care.
