The Mall That Has It All - by Planned Parenthood

I first heard aboutwww.ppmns.org the Planned Parenthood express mall clinics on Jill Stanek’s blog.  I focused so much on the express mall clinic’s new merchandise, such as aromatherapy oils, teas, bath and spa products; not to mention the “no exam” health services and the “pills now, pay later” program.  I completely missed the point of her article.  Then I read a letter to the editor in The Daily Journal which reminded me of what she was trying to tell us.  Parts of the letter by Leo LaLonde, president of Minnesota Citizens Concerned for Life:

www.smith.eduPlanned Parenthood performed more abortions than ever in 2006 — 21 percent more! The state abortion total rose by 700; Planned Parenthood increased its total by 645, capturing nearly all of the increase.

After Planned Parenthood’s first “express” mall clinic opened in June 2006, its monthly abortion totals increased significantly.  These clinics target young women and make referrals for abortions. 

Up until last year Minnesota had been having a steady decline in abortions and it appears to have hit the minor girls the hardest with an increase of 16% for their age group.  Last year was the first year for Planned Parenthood’s new “malls”.  This can not be coincidence.

I now have a better understanding why Planned Parenthood wants parental consent/notification laws to disappear.  Get the Parents out of the equation and they can give out more referrals and make money for them.  Remember, they believe that women only feel relief after an abortion, so why should they care about these teens right?
