Michelle Malkin posts the latest information on Governor Sarah Palin:
From KTUU TV in Alaska:
Gov. Sarah Palin will resign her office in a few weeks, she said during a news conference at her Wasilla home Friday morning.

Lt. Gov. Sean Parnell will be inaugurated at the Governor’s Picnic at the end of the month, Palin said.
There was no immediate word as to why she will resign, though speculation has been rampant that the former vice presidential candidate is gearing up for a run at the 2012 Republican presidential nomination.
Palin made the announcement flanked by Parnell and most, if not all, of her cabinet.
Some are speculating she may consider running for president in the 2012 elections!
I’m sure many of you will roll your eyes in disgust. However I say “You go girrrllll!!”

CNN said a conservative close to her has said shes leaving due to some tensions in Alaska, ending on a high note, and gearing up for 2012.
This is excellent news IMO, because this very well may be the end of her political career/time in the spotlight, but one can only hope. Id rather have Romney than Palin, and thats saying something. Ick.
I think this was kind of … uh.. wierd for her to do this.
I think she just looked like she couldnt handle it… cant finish anything .. ect.
I like Sara Palin.. I think she is great but I dont think she could win in 2012.
I’m not so sure about that. After she was cleared of all the bogus ethics complaints she said that it cost the state something like $12 million dollars. One of the things she kept saying in the speech is that she didn’t want to hurt Alaska and how much she loves the state. I think this just may be a case of “taking on the bully’s”. The media and the liberals bullied her into resigning, and then she will come back like a Barracuda in a year or two. Actually, I think they will use it as proof of how much she loves this country. She didn’t want to hurt her state any further so she risked her political career.
Also, think about the timing. July 3? Oh, brilliant! July 4 is going to have more “tea parties” than they did last time. Her resigning will be the talk of the parties. This will more than likely give her more supporters.
She’s not dumb. If she wants out of politics, she will do so with grace and dignity. If she wants to continue in politics, she risked that out of love for her country. Quitting for the good of the country is being a “quitter”; its being a patriot.
Pure genius…….
I dont think she is dumb at all.
As I was watching the news this morning… she has HUGE bills from the charges that went nowhere.. so she can make A LOT of money on the speech circuit and be in Americans face more.
We will see. I hope she is successful at whatever she does. Drives liberals nuts.. hehe
